Some love stories are worth waiting for and Wendy and Patrick’s wedding day was the perfect reflection of that. After 19 years together, these two finally celebrated the wedding day they had dreamed about surrounded by the people who mean the most to them. Every detail of their Full Bloom Farmhouse & Greenhouse wedding in Abingdon, Virginia felt intentional, intimate, meaningful, and completely centered around their story.


Their wedding design was filled with colorful florals and wildflower inspired details that perfectly complemented the romantic greenhouse setting. The bright blooms, soft textures, and joyful atmosphere made the entire day feel warm, vibrant, and full of life! It was everything couples love about a Virginia greenhouse wedding.


One of the most meaningful parts of the day was how they incorporated Patrick’s Belgian roots into the celebration. Thoughtful touches throughout the reception honored the long distance journey that brought these two together after nearly two decades of love and commitment across countries and cultures.


Their wedding cake may have been one of my favorite personal details of the day. Designed to look like a vintage suitcase, it beautifully represented the miles, memories, and adventures that shaped their relationship over the years. It was such a creative and heartfelt way to tell their story. From emotional moments during the ceremony to the laughter shared throughout the reception, Wendy and Patrick’s wedding was a reminder that there is no “right” timeline for love. Their day was filled with so much joy, authenticity, and deep connection. It is the kind of love that only grows stronger with time.
