Some wedding days are beautiful because of the details, while others are beautiful because of the people. Olivia and Tanner’s wedding had both.

From the moment Olivia described her vision to me, I knew this day was going to be special. She wanted a wedding that felt “country like Dollywood,” and she absolutely brought that vision to life. Wildflowers, colorful butterflies, rustic charm, and the sweetest family property came together to create a day that felt relaxed, joyful, and full of heart.

Set in the peaceful countryside of Bland, Virginia, their wedding embraced everything that makes Southwest Virginia so beautiful. Rolling hills, towering trees, a quiet creek, and wide-open country views created the perfect backdrop for a celebration that felt both timeless and deeply personal.

The day began with the most beautiful detail photos. Their invitation suite was covered in cheerful wildflowers and butterflies, perfectly setting the tone for everything to come. Every little piece reflected Olivia’s personality, from her bouquet filled with bright blooms to the thoughtful touches sprinkled throughout the day.

One of my favorite moments before the ceremony was seeing their adorable beagle all dressed up as the ring bearer. He completely stole the show and had everyone smiling. It’s little moments like that that make a wedding feel uniquely them.

The ceremony took place on Olivia’s granny’s country property, making the day even more meaningful. Nestled beside a peaceful creek, the ceremony site couldn’t have been more beautiful. White ducks drifted through the water nearby while the summer sunshine filtered through the trees. It was the kind of setting you simply can’t recreate at a traditional venue.. a quiet corner of Bland County that has been part of their family’s story for years.

As Olivia walked down the aisle, emotions filled the air. There wasn’t a dry eye in sight. Between the happy tears, laughter, and the overwhelming love surrounding these two, it was easy to see just how special this day was for everyone involved.

After they were officially husband and wife, we spent time creating portraits in the warm evening light. The golden sunshine paired with the rolling Virginia countryside gave us the dreamiest backdrop. Those quiet moments together allowed Olivia and Tanner to simply soak in the fact that they were finally married.

The celebration continued with family, friends, heartfelt speeches, dancing, and cake beneath twinkling string lights. As the sun began to set, we snuck away one last time for sunset portraits, and they ended up being some of my favorite images from the entire day.
